Over 60's match 2nd October 2013

The Over 60's trotted off to Avington E for the next round of the series.With a field of 10 anglers this series is as popular as ever. This was a close result with just a couple of pounds covering the top four. The scoring at this stage means that some people will be giving up points if they have fished more than six matches. The result is:

Over 70's rover 25th September 2013

The old boys visited Knotts for the penultimate event in their series, looking for some good weights from the tench and carp. Ken Hunt emerged the winner and now must have one hand on the trophy already. The big fish seem to have eluded them, with the top weights being:

Over 60's match 18th September 2013

The Over 60's headed next to Alders, where ther contest would be very different from the previous match on Willows. No arp allowed here, only silver fish are allowed in this event. The weights were low, and the win was a runaway for Brian Pallett, getting more than three times the nearest challenger. Dave Smith was at another match, allwoing others to eat into his series lead. Club Championship 22nd September 2013

The next Club Championship took place at Step Up Cottage on the Enborne Canal. Despite this stretch being completely draind for a week earlier this year by a boating accident, the fish seem to have returned enough for a decent contest. Sixteen anglers turned out for this, and the series is being very well supported all season. The full result, which still eaves the series wide open, is:

Over 60's match 4th September 2013

The Over 60's match this time was on Willows, so as expected carp were the main target for the winning weights. It was a close call for the win, with Dave Smith and Richard Wiggins bagging 4 each. Richard had the larger specimend and took the spoils. Dave Smith however held on to his lead in the series, and is getting harder to catch. The full run down is:
