Over 60's match 3rd November 2021
On a frosty morning 13 anglers faced a moody canal. All pegs were placed at the western end of the reach due to several boats being moored. Bites were slow for most of the day but suddenly fish appeared in the last hour, for some. Top weight was Keith Payne (AKA The Man From Atlantis) with 4lbs 8oz, mainly roach, followed by Brian Pallett with 3lbs 5oz, again roach, and third Dave Smith (AKA Golden Arm) on end Peg 1 with 2lbs 2oz. Top three league placings are 1st Dave Smith 61 points, 2nd Tim Wirth 45 points and 3rd Les Durnford with 40 points. Tony Franklin also fished his first over 60s match, finishing fourth.
