Thanks to Head Bailiff, Rob Allen, for creating swim maps for these three lakes.
These have been devised to assist members with identifying swim boundary limits, no fishing zones, out of bounds areas, location of disabled pegs etc, defining the swims to increase anglers understanding of where they may fish and where they may not, from any given swim.
They will also assist bailiffs with peg numbers when checking permits, .
Full-size PSF versions of each map are available in the Fisheries section of this website and will soon be put up in new noticeboards in the Bellwood and Knotts car parks.
All members are expected to follow the guidance within them.
On a very wet Sunday morning, brave souls 31 fished the match at the K&A canal at Enborne. While the rain cleared, the fish weren't really in the mood, with the winning weight of 8lb coming from NAA member Richard Faithfull who caught mainly perch from the newly installed platforms on the stretch below Guyers Lock. Second from the same stretch was Peter Morgan from Shipston Angling Association (who sent down 9 anglers, plus £100 for H4H and a raffle prize) and 3rd, also from Shipston, was Stuart Fleming who caught 6-9-0 from peg 10. Section winners were Dave Clarke with 2-9-0 from peg 7, Stuart Fleming, John Cox with 5-1-0 from peg 14, Steve Thame with 1-6-8 from peg 22, Henry Sadler with 5-8-0 from peg 28 and Peter Morgan and Richard Faithfull. A big thankyou to Ann in the Lamb Pub for Breakfast and a good spread after the match.
Thank you also to all who entered and supported the raffle, either by donating prizes, buying tickets or both. A healthy amount was collected on behalf of Help for Heroes, the final figure will be added to this article upon calculation.
Membership secretary, Dave Smith, is to be congratulated once again on a superbly organised match.
