Dixon's Mere

Dixon's is the smallest lake in the Widmead complex at about 1.5 acres. Tucked away at the far end of the fishery, it is a hidden gem. It is stocked quite densely with a variety of species and can produce quite large bags of fish, quickly, in the summer. Despite its distance from the car park it is very popular. There are some large carp and tench.

As part of a SSSI this fishery is not open during the close season.
